Aston Villa v Liverpool Pre-Match
« on: May 08, 2022, 02:15:38 PM »
When: Tuesday 10 May Kick off 8PM.
Venue: Villa Park

Conte stopped Liverpool from winning by resorting to back 5 so what is Steven going to do? With Chambers in our squad we can certainly do that but that could mean a miserable night watching the game chewing our nails. It looks like Coutinho is going to start but not sure it's a night for both him and Emi. Either I plan to turn up sit back and enjoy the luxury of  seeing what Liverpool can do and how we cope with them.

Three home league games in a row! When did that last happen?

Thats hardly a good thing this season though is it as Gerrard acknowledged in his post match interview.  Anyway let's hope this is the start of "fortress"  Villa Park

I think this will be a tight game and they’ll get a late heart breaking winner.

Before yesterday I had a feeling that we would get a draw but they rarely drop points so it may be a defeat now.
I just hope the manager keeps Buendia in the side.

0-3

Talk of 5-4-1 (a la Spppurrrs) is all well and good, but we do not have the pace and incision on the break that Tottingam has ...
I suspect we'll be the fall guys after yesterday's disappointment for Bingo.

Very difficult match.
Can expect some spirit but I don't see anything but a loss.
And a yellow card for Martinez time wasting though if that helps get 3pts towards end of match then has to be the case. A yellow though any earlier would out danger of any other fouls he gives away.
I hope Buendia is given the start.

So line up wise Martinez with 5 at the back
Cash Konsa Chambers Mings Digne

Middle McGinn Ramsey Buendia we need pace of Ramsey and energy of Buendia and McGinn

Coutinho to create
Watkins up front line forrays but tireless.

I remember when we use to beat these lot 5-0 and 7-2 not so long ago

We'll win, then lose at home to Palace and Burnley before beating Citeh on the last day.

And a yellow card for Martinez time wasting

This appears to be your latest cause. Any chance you could give it a rest?

If Martinez is booked for time wasting, then that would mean we're not losing, in which case he would be taking one for the team.
