I don’t think Burnley were as bad as some have been suggesting. They gave us a game today and our players will know that when they wake up in the morning.

Thought Chambers playing in front of the back 4 worked really well for us. Shame about conceding at the end. I was half asleep by then, but seem to recall it was another of our players slipping over that’s led to the goal. Also, that Weghorst is a fkn beast of a player. Think the commentators Said he’s 6’6? If he could finish, we’d have been in trouble.

The 3 Villa finishes were all quality. Much more assured in the final 3rd.

Gerrard said after, that they’re looking to make a few tweaks for the Liverpool game. I’m wondering if they may be considering 4-2-3-1? Maybe 2 from Nakamba, chambers, Tim and Chuk in front of the back 4? Not sure who I’d have in the 3. Coutinho seems likely to start, so maybe him Dougie and SJM (assuming JJ’s out injured) with Ings or Watkins up top.

I want Liverpool to Pip City to the title, but I really want us to beat Liverpool at Villa Park, so hoping against all hope, City also lose and then we snatch a point at the Etihad. Unlikely to happen of course, but ya gotta believe!

My first visit to Turf Moor, and I have to say I'll be sorry to see them go, a cracking day out

Don't worry,  it's Dirty Leeds who will go.

Of the 3 I'd like them to sink.

Anyway great result today - in a different time zone w so great to gear 3rd go in on World Service just after midnight. Sounds like Buendia had a cracking games. And well done Gerrard for mixing I up the last 2-3 games just wish he had done so sooner.

I thought it was going to be a tougher game than that but taking nothing away from us, I thought we were excellent. I thought we were worth another goal or two because we looked quite good going forward but that's being greedy I suppose. Good choice of team and very good use of subs.

I know nothing about FV bar being a poster on H&V.  I don't know why he should be afforded more leeway to talk a load of old toot on here than anyone else. One moment he's complimenting a proposed line up minus Buendia and then post match he's telling us he's an essential starter.  I think he needs to take stock on the way he graces us with his pearls of wisdom. That's all.

He/she is posting here to express themselves. A really good thing about the internet is that anyone from anywhere can join in about their favourite topic. Unless the post is actually offensive, scroll on.

People don't really do that anywhere else on here or with anyone else though.

Shut up you twat!!

Someone’s had a drink.

I was full of ale BUT I was also joking.

Every player put in a proper shift and our extra quality told. Well done lads.

We should be building the team around Buendia yet alone benching him.

The sort of routine, never in trouble win that have been so rare over the past few years. Well done Villa.

Some lad on Twitter posted last night that he was racially abused by some Burnley fan next to the away end. Giving him monkey chants with associated gestures. Apparently his fellow Villa fans stood up for him, didn’t ignore it, and the police got involved. Can’t find the thread now but pretty shocking. Poor kid was clearly upset by it on the thread last night.

Yes I saw that Stu, utterly disgraceful. He posted a picture of the racist, and he looked exactly how you'd expect a fat, bald racist from Burnley to look.

Could realistically have been 6 or 7 that's how poor Burnley were and we were half decent.  Concern now is will Liverpool do the same to us now on Tuesday.  Chambers again bang on performance.

Cracking away game, performance and result. Each player was at it. No poor performances. Villa looked dangerous every time we got in the Burnley half. Also a 90 min performance and we haven't seen many if those this season.

What was that woman on who sat one wooden stand next to us?   Shows the difference between home and away policing

As enjoyable an away day as I can remember. Lovely pub pre-match, great performance by the boys and a lot of laughter on the coach home.
