They would have brought the bottle in with him as, if they got it in the ground, the top would have been removed. Probably for this very reason?

Micky Quinn famously had a pie threw at him during a corner which he caught and took a bite out of

Still trying to get my head around the commentators suggesting it was all the fault of our players for daring to celebrate.

Of course it was. We were the big bads who spoiled the party and Big Duncs return. I'm sure the press hadn't been bigging up Gerards first return to Everton as a manager, Digne's return and how Dunc would be instilling fight and erm bottle into the team and get them on winning ways.

It is the same reason when our fans invade the pitch after a big win, it is the return of the darkest times. If other fans do it, it is the magic of the cup.

Victim-blaming, pure and simple. Where exactly in an away game are the players supposed to celebrate?

Should the Premier League mandate a solemn handshake in the centre circle, while VAR checks for a reason to disallow the goal. Then two minutes later, the players can nod at each other like vague acquaintances might do in a Yorkshire pub, a quick slap on the back and back to work chaps.

And if players run any distance to celebrate with their travelling fans, the jobsworths in black can't wait to book them for over celebrating!
