An off day for sure. That’s all I’m putting it down to. Put it this way, he’s no worse than Calvert-Lewin who West Ham want.I’m thinking the same, sure there are better forwards out there than Ollie but most are playing CL football. He’s a bit off form bit there is more to come, he’ll be fine.We seem to forget he has a newish born baby. I well remember being so tired as a new dad. Fatherhood is wonderful but can also be very demanding.

Again found myself thinking Watkins isn’t good enough.
I love ollie's energy and he's vital to how we play, but he's not a natural finisher, and i'm not sure if he ever will be (can that really be taught?). I'd be sticking with him for now but ultimately i fear an upgrade will be needed.

5 goals at this stage of the season for a £30m striker is rubbish.
Quote from: Risso on January 23, 2022, 04:54:31 PM5 goals at this stage of the season for a £30m striker is rubbish. However only one forward (Jota) in the Premier League is into double figures at this stage. Others Salah, Kane, Lukaku etc are on 8/9 goals.

I think Ollie's work rate is such that you can forgive his slightly iffy technique, although he does occasionally show great skill, so he clearly has it in him.
