I'd say he's more of a sloppy one, the sort that really splatters all up the porcelain and makes a right mess.

I do agree with you though, it's hard coming in and out of the team and he's not suited to the game we play. I do think there's been improvement in his shot stopping and handling over the course of the season but the stats don't lie. It's not working and i do agree with Tim that to have him playing in a semi final was a poor situation for us and one that should have been addressed last summer as many of us said at the time. It's the one cock up that we've made as a club in a generally unbelievable last 18 months.

Wasn't all his fault, the defending generally was equally shite.  Worse than the Tottenham or Newcastle games.

He's probably not a bad goalkeeper, he's just terrible for a team whose main tactic against pressing teams (like Olympiakos) is to invite the press and pass it around them. 

With Emi, Pau and Tielemans all out, we are not effective at doing this, and got punished by a team specifically set up to punish this style of play.

This happens sometimes even when Martinez and other players are available. Just in general it wouldn't hurt to have an alternative tactic to employ when necessary.

Me too. I hate to see people trying their hardest and coming up short, as he is clearly doing. Best for all concerned if he leaves this summer and finds a club that just needs their 'keeper to launch it into row Z every time.

I think it’s going to be a bit tougher behind Emi but isn’t being not necessarily first choice a big part of the goalkeeper job description, for obvious reasons? Some of them spend literally years on the bench.

Without the conference league games there are going to be fewer opportunities for a number2 next season. So it’s a tough sell to get a good number back-up.

Only just bothered to watch the highlights and Olsen has clearly cost us. Pathetic display, such a shame that we more than likely go out of this competition with a whimper.
