it can't be easy being such a firm number 2.
The players work hard all season to get in position and we get to the most important few games and this clown is in goal. Its a massive own goal .
He's probably not a bad goalkeeper, he's just terrible for a team whose main tactic against pressing teams (like Olympiakos) is to invite the press and pass it around them. With Emi, Pau and Tielemans all out, we are not effective at doing this, and got punished by a team specifically set up to punish this style of play.
Feel a bit bad for him. Keepers rely on rhythm as much as anyone - it can't be easy being such a firm number 2. He's also playing a modern keeper role with lots of the ball at his feet that he's obviously not suited to.

I hate to see people trying their hardest and coming up short, as he is clearly doing. Best for all concerned if he leaves this summer and finds a club that just needs their 'keeper to launch it into row Z every time.Tricky role to recruit for, though, being number two to a player who is number one, not only at the club, but in the entire bloody world.

I think it’s going to be a bit tougher behind Emi but isn’t being not necessarily first choice a big part of the goalkeeper job description, for obvious reasons? Some of them spend literally years on the bench.
