He's been fine all season when he's played.

It doesn't help that his facial expression always looks absolutely terrified.

He's been fine all season when he's played.

He was almost clown like in the home game against Hibs. Since then he’s improved and his previous 2 games before last night were absolutely fine and same last night with a very good save thrown in at the end.

It’s his confidence on the ball and the confidence players have in him. That takes time to build.

I thought he did fine and wasnt at fault for the goals. One Martinez-esque save and a superb take from a cross as well. Well done Lad. Being no2 to Emi is basically like being no2 to Max Verstappen.

Generally, he's been much improved this season and been fine when called upon and he still gets slaughtered online every time he appears (not so much here, more FB etc). Even yesterday he had a decent game and probably deserves more credit than he's getting. Had Emi pulled off that injury time save against Palmer, we'd be talking about it for weeks.

His kicking has improved too. He can't do much about the midfield parting like the red sea or Diego Carlos having an epic brain fart with the worst clearance attempt I've ever seen.

Players are entitled to have an off day. Most get away with it this season given how good we've been. Feels like some still can't win no matter what they do (certainly Cash and Olsen).

He's fine as a number 2 whilst we train up Gauci. He's also the second best Doctor of the 21st Century.

He’s genuinely shite.

As evidenced by the many many goals we concede when he’s between the sticks.

Even Nyland could throw in the occasional match turning performance.

With this guy it’s always damage limitation.

If you can’t be good, be lucky.

He’s shit and unlucky.

Well lucky that a top 10 PL club is paying him a wage, somehow.

Fair play to his agent on that one.

Martinez shipped 8 against Newcastle, this season, 3 against Liverpool, 4 against Forest, 5 against Spurs, 4 against Brentford, 3 of which in 9 minutes.

The problem is , his presence alone rattles our own defence to shreds when he's on the pitch and it's a vicious circle from there . The crowd get edgy , the commentators sense it and so do the opposition players . Olsen himself has that look in his eyes that spells problems on the horizon. He made a couple good saves but the issue is wider .

He’s in the unfortunate position of being number 2 to the best GK to play for Villa so comparisons are a little unfair. It’s just unfortunate that he’s made some cock ups that some fans won’t let go of.

Michael Oakes was no 2 to one of the best goalies in the country (prob world) at that time and the drop off wasn't as vast when he played.

We're not going to get one of the top 20/30 keepers in the world to sit on our bench, true.

But we can do better than this bloke.
