But….he’s not the worlds number 2 and if we do get 4th place I’m sure there are better keepers who would be more than happy to play second fiddle.

We prob won't get one of the world's top 20 or 30 keepers as back up to Emi, it's true.

But I'd be amazed if the scouting department haven't already found a better option than Olsen.

All I'd say is think about Man United in their pomp. Peter Schmeichel in goal (ignore he was a stone overweight and generally gash for us after he'd returned from Portugal). Whenever Schmeichel was unavailable they routinely turned to Raymond van der Gouw. Never heard of him otherwise. Not sure if he ever got any caps for his native Netherlands. My point is there wasn't a top-class keeper standing in at Manyoo even when they were at their best.

But won't this be a problem for any reserve goal keeper? Gauci might get a pass early on because of his youth, but he also isn't Emi.
