Alternatively, a shit hot young goalie from a second or third rate league would die for the opportunity to learn under the WN1 and get the occasional game.

It's prob not the hard sell some are making it out to be.
What's Gaucci's name, again?

Not that.

Liverpool were challenging for, and winning, trophies with the likes of Karius and Adrian (seven) as their back ups, as examples. And Kelleher this season is part of a pretty dodgy defence. It's not often the number 2 keeper is top notch.

I think you have to add a D in there somewhere. All the rage at the moment.

Aussie part time knock about is prob more like 7/8 rate league. At the price we got him for he's def worth a punt. But that doesn't preclude other punts.

The Polish/English lad we sent out on loan to MK Dons has more presence and skill with his feet than Sweden's No 1, somehow.

Bugger, lol. It's 1am and I've hit the lagers and the Malbec that the wife didn't drink. Can't cope with the name of our third choice keeper haha.

I still say there's no reason to get rid of Olsen though.

Marschall has barely played for MKD in league 2 so he may come good as he's young but I sure wouldn't be having him ahead of Olsen right now.

I’ve been on the whisky since I got home from the game….still think Olsen needs to go, for everyone’s sake.
Poor goalkeeper, poor signing.

We just need to agree to disagree.

Enjoy the whiskies.

Some unbelievable comments about Robin. We will NOT get a better number 2 to our current number 1. And I don’t think there is a better 2 in the League other than at Mancity and Lpool.

He was really sound last night and kept us in the game. Those are some boots to fill playing as Emi’s understudy. Well done Olsen.

Not suggesting they did it on purpose, but it's probably no bad thing Olsen had to come on yesterday given he's going to have to start on Thursday. Has to be extremely difficult for a back up goalie in a team with a) the best keeper in the world, and b) no 3rd/4th cup runs to get him some regular game time.

Side note, Newcastle's back up keeper is really poor, Pope isn't as good as Martinez but the gap between him and the guy currently playing is massive. All the injuries they've had it's Pope they've missed the most.

Sinisalo is developing nicely, Gauci looks a prospect, and Olsen is Sweden's POTY for the last god knows how long. Our goalkeeping situation is fine.
