I enjoy a crepe in the morning myself. Before breakfast, if at all possible.

All keepers aim to be the regular.

He played well, as he did at City, but his lack of presence seems to spook the players.

We seem far more reluctant to cycle the ball across the back three of CB-goalie-CB when Olsen is in goal.  And that has a knock on effect on everything else we do.  He's not a bad keeper at all, and made a brilliant save one v one against Palmer, but he's not good enough with the ball at his feet for the way we play these days, unfortunately.

Thing with Olsen is that he is big and have very good reflexes. Cant read the game and move him self accordingly so that he s where the ball comes as good as Emi.   I m always worried when he comes on. Olsen can be good for Sweden as their defensively play with big defenders and more with a "wall" in front of him.

Fair play to Olsen! The save from Palmer saved the game and got us the point.
His distribution is fine but was unsure on decision-making and communication in authority to when Carlos did an awful clearance because didn't know if to let the ball through.

Well done Olsen

Reality is he's a solid number 2 keeper. Problem is he's number 2 behind the best in the world. The gap between them is massive, and that's not his fault. But Emi has a prescence that instills confidence in us, and fear in the opposition. Olsen doesn't, and we seem to become a bit jittery when he's playing even though he's not doing any howlers.

That's it, Martinez is the best goalkeeper in the world, but he's worth way, way more than that to us as a team - he's mental giant, he brings us spirit and drive. Mings is the same, we lost so much more than just a good defender, we lost a born leader, a figurehead for the team.

I don't really rate Olsen, but there's no getting away from the fact he's back up option to a colossus, and to a degree, no matter how well he plays, he's never going to replace Martinez.

Did OK, it was the players in front of him who were the problem.

I don't think he played particularly well, that save apart.

And the goals against column when he's between the sticks compared to when he's not is the best indicator.

If defenders are more anxious when he's in goal it's with good reason.

A well trodden accusation which I deem to have had its day.

As soon as he started warming up at half time I just knew we were in trouble. Probably not too much he could do about the goals but we just don’t play the same with him in goal and he needs to be moved on asap.

He's a massive improvement on the keeper he was last season. One great save tonight and came out to claim a few crosses. No real complaints other than he's not Emi though that save reminded me of Emi's  against France. Good block.
