Buendia really is starting to look the part and Ramsey gets better and better. Fair play to Gerrard for making the changes that shifted the tide - I think the winning formula is the one we ended with. Two excellent debuts too - quality makes a difference.

Feel a bit badly for Sanson. Thought he had a really good game and showed what he can bring and then a daft error sees him pulled when Ings was going to be the one pulled.

Aside from the unfortunate mistake, I thought he played well on the whole. Decent in possession, uses his length to cover ground well and surprisingly tidy with the ball at his feet.

The subs worked out great though, it has to be said. Coutinho for Sanson and Chuky for Ings totally swung the momentum in our favor.

Buendia is quickly proving his worth - some wonderful stuff today.

Yanited will be gutted by that, which is good.

Strolling to their usual VP victory and a former Redscouse does that to them.

I hope Ol'Beetroot features went even more purple (if that's at all possible). I wish all the bad things in the world on them and only them.

It's some shameful shit that we haven't beat this shower at home since about 1923 and I'm not about to start celebrating draws now. But plenty of positives with that second half display.

Feels like Sky haven't stopped talking about the opposition yet.

We played some really good football and then spoil it with a shit pass.  Not sure what has happened to Watkins and Cash but they seem to have gone backwards.  Buendia was absolutely brilliant and frustratingly average at times but I think had a really good game overall.  Cut out the stupid mistakes and we will be a good side.  For goodness sake, get a defensive midfielder in front of that back four and Fernandez doesn't get the second goal.  Great comeback, plenty of fight and heart.  Feels like a win and i will take four points out of six from United any season.  Brave from Gerrard with the subs, although I guess he HAD to do something as we were 2-0 down, but great subs and we move up a place in the table too.   I love the fact that we have a couple of players in who can get beyond the forwards to score goals.  Well done Villa.

I thought Cash was immense personally. We all see things differently though.

It's his distribution.  If we can get that sorted, he will be fine but he just seems to be lacking a bit of confidence recently.

As expected sky are concentrating on manure losing a 2 goal lead rather than us having come back from 2 down. Tossers.

• Thought Bunedia was excellent.
• Digne ditto and we’ve now got an attacking threat from left back which we haven't had for quite awhile.
• Ramsey was terrible first half but fantastic second half.
• Sanson and Martinez both played well despite their respective mistakes.
• When were we last time we were in a position to bring on a sub like Coutinho that could help change a game?
• Ings and Watkins needs binning. I’ve wanted it to work. Gave it time to work but it just doesn’t. Has to be one or the other.
• A comeback against them like that is glorious.

Not a single cheer in the pub when they scored. Knew I’d moved to a decent area.

Sloppy mistakes. Good come back. I’d have taken a draw before hand if I’d knew we had gone behind

How shit are Man Utd ? Two gifts of goals and they still can't win  ;D

Thought Digne was excellent on his debut.

Too much sloppy play by most of the team in the first half, I thought Sanson struggled in the first and was out of position for the free-kick that led to their first (that Emi should have saved) and was obviously responsible for their second too. Ramsey similarly was a bit anonymous in the first-half as well but grew into the game and became central to our fightback.

It feels like it takes a Gerrard bollocking for them to get going, so I'm suggesting that he bollock them before the first half even starts. That should help.

Buendia is getting better every match, though Watkins and Ings are a worry, particularly Ollie as his finishing and decision-making continues to frustrate.

Which brings me to the wizard, Phil from Brazil, it couldn't have gone any better for him and he is going to be an epic signing for us.
