It’s jinxed this fixture. Absolutely jinxed.

Oddly, we got a few draws in the 90s after the 3-1 win in 1995-96. It was the 00s when it really went bad for us

That cup game v them when they ran on the pitch after turning it to 3-2 was the death knell.

Since waking up we've more than matched them but it simply isn't a good idea even against very average Man. United teams to chuck one in after 10 minutes as always an uphill battle.

We'll still get chances in second half but simply have to take them. For all the fawning the two main ones were both straight at De Gea.

H-T. Apart from one 5 minute spell towards the end of the half that was very, very disappointing.

Only Digne and Sanson and maybe Buendia have been acceptable.

Gerrard needs to have a proper think about why he's selecting Watkins and Ings. Didn't work with Dean, ain't working with him either.

Anyone else finding themselves thinking they wouldn't really be that bothered if Luiz did fuck off?

I don't think I'd lose much sleep.

What does he offer? Really can't see what he does beyond play safe balls sideways in midfield or give the ball away.

He is also a yellow or red card waiting to happen. I like commitment but like his namesake who played for Chelsea and Arsenal he can be a liability. Commitment is great but being reckless isn't great.

All the positivity in the build up and we shit ourselves as soon as we kick off. We are showing them so much respect. We  have the biggest inferiority complex.

Ramsey very poor too

I thought that too.  Not really worked for him so far today.

Watkins is a Championship level player doing his best. Ings looks about 10 years older than he is. Fucking wank.

Their midfield is carrying the  ball well up the pitch for them. Ours are all looking for a pass or runner that’s not on. Luiz needs to do more. Missing McGinns energy. Everton will be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of playing us next week, no one hands out gifts more than us to struggling teams.

We’ve been poor. We’ve made an average United side look a lot better than they are.

Buendiua and Sanson only positives.

Agreed, and Digne has made some promising runs. Ramsey, Dougie and the front 2 particularly disappointing.

It’s sad but, we really don’t look threatening or about to score anytime soon. Change of tactics is clearly needed and a change in formation. Think Archer would probably give their defence a few more problems than Watkins or Ings. We really need to step our play up by at least 10% and also press them much higher up the pitch.

Ings and Watkins just have no idea what’s going on. It’s not even like they are isolated, they are just absent. Buendia winning headers and Digne volleying at the back post.. where are the out and out strikers?!
