Moreno was instrumental in us getting Conference League football, but Digne/Maatsen is a better, more balanced pairing to have at left-back this season. Until Moreno got injured i never thought Digne would step up as much as he has. He’s been consistently very good for a long time now. I’m so glad he’s staying.

Digne is superb.
When u saw Digne playing for Everton he never stood out for me. Neither did he under Gerrard. You know where I’m going with this….great transformation.

But he did look a good player earlier in his Everton career, possibly under Ancelotti. He was averaging 7 assists a season at one point which is pretty good for a left back and always looked a threat on set pieces.
I for one am happy Lucas won out in the LB wars
