                   Martinez

Cash       Konsa      Mings      Targett

      Luiz        Sanson      Ramsey

Buendia              Watkins

         Ings

Isn’t McGinn available. Thought his suspension was for the league game.

Mcginns available tonight, but not on Saturday. Cant imagine for a minute that he won’t be playing tonight.

Any predictions for the minute of Man U's first pen?!

I'm going with a 44th minute, pre-HT gift from the VAR Newton Heath Supporters Club.

No excuses for me, should be the full side tonight and we should be going all out to win the tie.  I could see some logic in giving Steer a game, but with the possibility of penalties, Martinez should play.

Will be very disappointed if we field a weakened side.

Play the best 11 available and win. Just bloody WIN Villa. PLEASE! We'll need 2 or 3 goals to counter the inevitable dubious decision/penalty they'll no doubt get.

How I'd LOVE to put these fuckers to the sword on their own patch. Get past these and I have a good feeling we'll be watching Big Ty lift that trophy in the summer!

My mind took me back to the 1/4 final in '92 at Anfield earlier.

A decent Villa side going to a formerly impregnable fortress with their team on the slide, going up thinking we've genuinely got a chance, cue limp display in 1-0 defeat.

Please change the record Villa.

Be just our luck that his last one makes an untimely return to earth and nestles in the top corner.

I can not for one second imagine Gerrard is going to play anything other than the strongest possible team available to him.  In his early interview with Carragher, he spoke about the FA Cup, and its importance.

I have a horrible feeling it will go to penalties.

Having already beaten them at OT this feels like the football gods are lining us up for them to get their revenge and restore footballs natural order of things according to the media. However, fuck all that. Were going to beat them hopefully with the dodgiest of dodgy decisions. 2-1 Villa a.e.t.

I agree, and we'll lose, despite us giving them a real game for once.

However, I can see us winning at home on Saturday!  ;)

I heard on a podcast this week that only 3 away teams have ever won twice at Old Trafford in the same season. Apparently Villa were one of them but it was late 19th Century so history is against us winning but given their current form we’ve got a decent chance.

I've just googled to check kick-off time, and the "insights" tell me the three were Chelsea 2004/05, spuds 1989/90, and ourselves 1919/20.

No unique yellow 3rd kit this time round though

OK Gerrard no messing about. Pick the very best team available. We have not played for 10 days and only have one more game on Saturday before the next game a week after that. No rotation, no tryouts, no resting. Just go for it it the FA Cup.
