I agree it's wrong but that's the free market and in particular, the modern obsession with sport on TV.

Why is Parker v Joyce on pay per view, one is ranked 7th in the world and the other 8th, it's a joke, not to mention, we are going through one of the most difficult times witnessed since the war, but I doubt, whether the powers that be are aware of that.

Because people will pay to watch it. Heavyweights bring out the casual fan.

Yeah Dave but there will still be many, who want to watch it, but due to the present cost of living crisis, will be unable to do so, as it's a luxury, they cannot afford, that's why it's wrong.

Personally I just don’t watch them, much like
Villa away games I just can’t be arsed trying to find streams.  If it’s a decent fight it will be on the main channel to watch by midweek

Boxing does itself no favours at times. You have weekends when there's nothing on TV then some nights there's three bills being shown. Then you have a situation like tonight, with two fringe world class fighters are on PPV while the other card has the top of the bill fight pulled and the chief support now headlining.

I've just read about the death of Ernie Shavers a couple of weeks ago. If you haven't heard of him, he was perhaps the hardest-hitting heavyweight of all time and equally perhaps the best never to win a world title.

Did not no this I remember when I first moved up north & used to start our night out in Yates wine bar in queens square always to be greeted by a huge American bouncer always friendly to be told a few weeks later he was a famous American boxer Earnie Shavers.RIP. Great performance by Joyce tonight he’s going to be a hard nights work for the top end of the heavyweight division.

Very impressive from Joyce, first man to stop Parker, if the Fury Joshua fight doesn't go ahead, would love to see him fight AJ.

Eubank v Benn off because of a positive drugs test by Conor Benn. Fertility drug or something which could increase Testosterone.

Very disappointing. I was really looking forward to the fight as well.

And what’s ridiculous thing to take. I wonder how he will try and riddle out of that, as athletes invariably do. You can hardly claim “ contaminated meat” or “ flu cure “ for that drug !

Suddenly you start to see how Benn became the most improved fighter in the country.

Sam Eggington got beat yesterday. He should be thinking about retiring while he can still write his name.

Bunce was pretty damning on the BBC podcast. Once Bunce turns, you know things are bad.

Cards on the table time and aware that some may frown on this opinion, but I just find women's fighting sports tough to watch at times, as although I admire the bravery and skill on show, I'm still not overly comfortable watching women being hit in the face and hurt.

With that said, I am really intrigued by the fight tonight.  Shields is the brash kind of American sportsperson who you just want to see beaten and I hope Savannah Marshall can do that.  I haven't seen enough of either fighter to know the form and if that is a likely prospect, but again don't know how comfortable I feel with wanting to see a female get a hiding and potentially knocked out for my entertainment.
