My first one was one of the Hummel pyjama ones. I too used to wear them all the time and everywhere as many family photos of the time will testify.
93/94 away with 5 on the back
My first kit was the 87/88 Villa home shirt. The Hummel pyjama ones.
Desperately wanted a Villa goalkeeper kit at the time, which my mum made for me - green jumper with a Villa badge (bought in the club shop) sewn on, "Mita copiers" stenciled on the front in black ink, and a number 1 stenciled in black on top of a white patch on the back. Wore it to death, but still have it - I think - at home
Mine was from Dick Taylor's.The round neck late 60s one.'You had to buy the lion cloth badge separately and sew it on.
Mine was the late 70’s/early 80’s white away shirt with the claret and blue striped collar and those wonderful claret & blue Umbro diamonds down the sleeves. Truly a thing of beauty which was worn by some of our finest players.
I brought a retro version last year, I bloody love it.
First was the 76-81 when Santa decided I should be a full kit wanker 7 year and also brought me a Villa lamp, mirror and towel.
Second was the 95/96 home shirt which Santa didn't bring.
1963 home shirt - still have it. Bought from Harry Parkes.
1974 away shirt - nicked.
Late 60’s yellow and blue away kit was my first and then the home kit at Christmas my favourite kits ever
First shirt was 90-92 home. First one with a name and number was 1994 muller stripes home with Saunders 9 on the back.
Our all claret shirt in the 1969-70 relegation season, bought as a Christmas present by my grandad from Harry Parkes.
1995-96 with 'Wright' on the back. I felt like I had to wear it to every party I went to, but it gave me all sorts of nipple rash and itching.
Black red and green Muller away
My first top was the home Umbro top from 1975-1976. My favourite kits were the 1974-1981 kits, loved the kits and Umbro as the supplier.
