I've got a replica of the 1879-80 shirt through an American company. It's more of a sweatshirt, but excellent quality. Got one for my boy too! Special.
My own first kit was the 1961-63 kit. I loved it then (when I was about 9 years old) and I love it now. It is THE Villa kit for me.

Nice to see the pic of Uncle Frank on the historic kits website!

First was the 76-81 when Santa decided I should be a full kit wanker 7 year and also brought me a Villa lamp, mirror and towel.

Second was the 95/96 home shirt which Santa didn't bring.

Same here, 76/77 home shirt. I also had a mirror, was yours a round one embossed with the badge in claret? Around that time I also had a Villa quilt. Nylon, that gave static shocks.

69/70
Tommy Docherty’s all claret with blue collar.
I don’t think it was a popular top as was not a ‘traditional’ Villa top.

I loved it, and is probably why I always like the mainly claret tops and sleeves with little blue. Absolutely loved the Luke top
Mine too, the yellow away one too. My first kits so my favourite ones.

Hummel home 87-88. Club shop ran out of stock (some things never change) so I didn’t get the shorts and fell short of FKW status.

95-97 home shirt with Draper on the back (not sure either!). Bought from Ready4sport in Shirley, which is long gone.

93/94 stripy Muller one - had Saunders on the back of it

Snap...he left soon after and I was devastated! Tried picking off his name for a finish 😂

Had the blue away one under Little a season or two later, AST computers were the sponsor

I think I had the hooded training top from this season, which was my pride and joy as a snappy dressing 14 year old.  Little did I know it would soon transition in to my ‘baggy’ phase.

The 1981/82 home kit was the first of my own that wasn't a hand me down. Unsponsored and pre-European Cup win. The following year this was upgraded to Davenports and Champions of Europe.

My first kit was the 1980/81 home kit. My old man got it from the old club kiosk behind the Trinity. It was an Umbroset complete with black and orange packaging and included the long sleeved shirt, shorts and socks. Absolutely loved it. Also got the Umbro tracksuit for my birthday or Christmas can’t remember which. Remember being gutted when they brought a new kit out - the Le Coq Sportif one the following season. It felt like the end of an era, which I suppose it was in a way. I grew to like it though and got the full away kit and the home shirt and socks. I’m a bit hazy on the timing, but suspect it would’ve been towards the end of the season when they probably would’ve been cheaper to buy!
