This is a good little collection of some of our play last night. We played some lovely football at times. A bit more belief and more consistency and we are a pretty decent team.

As you just mentioned Raheem Sterling
He is one of those players for me who looks a lot better when you watch him live and up close than what he comes over on TV

I’m in the Doug lower towards the Holte so got to see him quite a lot at close quarters and was impressed with him last night
I’ve changed my mind a bit on him to be honest
Was watching an England game and my pal commented that Sterling has short ams and when when runs  he holds his arms in a T-Rex position. I can't unsee that now every time I watch him run.

The first one there shows Citehs cynical fouling to a T. First Watkins dragged down, then Luiz taken out. All the citeh players where then taken aback by the play on and Watkins getting up and sprinting so were caught out of position.

I'm just shocked and saddened by how many posters on here seem to like Formula One.

Yeah that's Guardiola's modus operandi. All his teams have done it. Fucking cynical cheating and they always get away with it. It's percentage-playing wank.

Yawnchester City, bore the pants off me.  The Etihad is like a library most of the time. Boring football, cynical fouling, bought every cup going and yet, despite their spending, the one trophy that will define them, remains elusive, because Pep was out-thought and out coached by Tuchel.

Long may the European cup be elusive

As you just mentioned Raheem Sterling
He is one of those players for me who looks a lot better when you watch him live and up close than what he comes over on TV

I’m in the Doug lower towards the Holte so got to see him quite a lot at close quarters and was impressed with him last night
I’ve changed my mind a bit on him to be honest
For all the shite he gets, and for all the Euro calls for him to be dropped for Jack/Phil, his numbers are incredible for his position. He was very good yesterday. Ironically he still gets criticised for his end product sometimes. This is what Joe is gonna have to contend with and get to the level of. Raheem has started 6 league games, despite being the City attacker who seems to come up with the goods more than many of the others historically.
Bernardo Silva has probably been one of the best players in the division this season. It's hard not to begrudgingly admire, even if City are playing with a cheat code.

Considering all that, I think we gave a good account of ourselves. It's almost sickening they are ravaged by injuries and still put out a lineup like that. FFP????

FFP may have been well-intentioned but its effect has been to ensure that only those with the biggest revenues may be allowed to set aside the biggest transfer budgets.

FFP wasn’t well intentioned. It was designed to preserve the cartel.

For everyone saying Buendia was rubbish first half, well, even then there were flashes. I think you can see here how Gerrard will help him - players closer to each other and moving more off the ball, providing more angles, he'll be able to move the ball quicker.

Maybe I am not  cynical enough but
I allways believed it was I’ll conceived by people that do not understand Finance, the idea that you can control financial profligacy by using an income statement ratio only is pretty dumb. financial institutions manage risk through a combination of Balance Sheet and Trading statement calculations or covenants to control other critical risks like leverage and cash.
This would not be difficult to put in place but I doubt there is the appetite and there are too many interests vested in maintaining the status quo.
