It was 5-5 and the only pen was scored by Tammy.

Ah right, but apart from all that, was I close?

I came to say how Cash has said the team is excited but calm
However it also noted that 5 has come up again here which is a sign of something !?

I believe Emery would rather not have him at right back and has given him an opportunity as an attacking midfielder owing to injuries.

He was also very despondent , after failing with crosses or witnessing blocks coming in, he hung his head on the advertising hoardings. That wasn't good body language.
I also believed he lacked football intellec, others claimed I made that up, but it is proving to be the case.

He tries and works hard, but players instruct him where to position himself. Konza and Pau were both waving and pointing to where he needed to go.

I'm excited for Kosta Nedeljkovic who has played champions league already and has the right attitude and pedigree as a naturally talented player who no doubt will take instructions and be able to implement them

It sounds like there are concerns about the player's performance and adaptability in certain positions, as well as his body language on the field. It's essential for players to communicate effectively and understand their roles within the team. It'll be interesting to see how Kosta Nedeljkovic performs, given his experience and attitude.

I thought cash was atrocious last night whether he played right wing or right back. He constantly takes the wrong decision. I’d be looking for a major upgrade on him for next season. Nice lad, but hasn’t developed like many of the others under this top class manager.

This guy simply doesn't cross enough. He averaging 1.3 crosses a match which over 90+ minutes is poor. He also currently has more losing duels than winning ones. It's pretty easy to spot the weak links and with a pathetic 39 crosses since August, it's evident.

23/24 39 crosses
22/23 46 crosses
21/22 98 crosses
20/21 81 crosses

Last nights horror show was what he's been doing all season. Forward, forward, looking good, oh fuck... it's the penalty area, fuck.. I have to take on my man, fuck that.. Dougie/Ginny here you go - you do something.

Of course, in those seasons where he was crossing more, we were doing a lot better.

We've done better because certain players have improved under UE. Cash hasn't, nice spin though.

You'd think he would, at least 45 minutes a game with Unai in his ear.

Honestly, do you not look at those numbers and think that, maybe, just maybe, some of it is deliberate?

Like, you've managed to get it exactly wrong. Cash's problem isn't at all that he passes it forward well then messes up in the final third. He's pretty good in the final third actually, as he is in the defensive third - he just does nothing at all to progress things in between.

I like Cash but I don't think he's technically good enough nor sufficiently disciplined in defence (keeping the offside line etc). His problem is decidedly not a lack of Gerrard-era aimless slinging it in.

He crossed it non stop under Gerrard and it was pointless. The frustrating thing for Cash is that he often gets into good positions but doesn't deliver the required quality. There was a break last night in the second half where he got in behind with time and space and just hit the first man. To be fair he did brilliantly about 10 mins later in the same position and maybe Watkins could have been more alive to it. As a defender he is ok, dives in far too much for my liking but does a decent job and gives us balance which evaporates when Konsa is out there. He's quick and a good athlete too, rarely injured. But Cash simply isn't good enough to play RWB or RM.

These last couple of games which have been tough I thought Cash has stood out and played really well, Lille A being a great example , and last night. I hope we keep him .

He didn’t play well last night - he tried, but in the main he absolutely killed any momentum we had. I don’t mind him as a squad player, but only as a right back.
