I'm so glad to see him straight back to work.  A really decent bloke who, maybe, deserved more patience.  It's a results driven game so that hasn't happened.  Hope he finds happiness in his new job...and throws the games against Villa later this season!

The Athletic have an article about Lampard being too picky and risking becoming irrelevant when jobs come up in future. Good on Deano for getting straight back in.

I think Lampard is more likely to become irrelevant if he has two "failures" on the trot which is Dean's problem. With the best will in the world if they do go down as expected, then the defeats they experience this season will be the minds of the fans next, and unless they get off to a flyer next term he could pay the price from the accumulative effect (Enough Smith-out fans on here have brought up last season's result as a reason for sacking him). He'd have been much better waiting for a championship job, with a club with more long term potential than Norwich that he can mould into his style.

Saying that if he keeps them up and finishes above Mr Gerrard, DOH!
