Given that he's spent half his time in this division fighting relegation that's not a bad record. John Gregory's percentage was better than Brian Little's but I know which manager I preferred.

Little and Gregory as managers at least made us hard to beat and, apart from their first season coming in from BFR. No surprise they kept us comfortably in the top half from 1996-2002.

Just noticed this post. That Albion pub was in Hackney (a bizarre place for a baggies boozer - it was knocked down a few years ago) and I’m guessing the photo was taken when Smith was playing up the road for Leyton Orient

Well he did play for a team about the same size at Olbion - Orient.
