Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Targett
Sanson Luiz McGinn
Buendia Ings Bailey

Do not feck around.

Watkins instead of Bailey.

Same here, and only play Sanson if fully fit, otherwise i think i'd have Nakamba in there for this one.

Hause for Mings.

Works for me. Won't happen though

Hopefully Tyrone will revert to belting it in to Row Z if in doubt rather than fannying about with the ball so that he keeps  his place in the England B team.

F**k me, one beer and I've gone hyper-cynical.
I blame Brexit!

Bailey, Traore, Davies all back training! I can see 1 out of 3 starting, a different 1 out of 3 finishing and the other 1 out of 3 not making the squad.

Anyway, 2-2 or 1-3

They are unbeaten in 5, so it's not like they need a result!

I can't see Davis making the squad for the forseeable future. Smith is already going to have a couple of difficult decisions to make. These were the subs for Wolves:

Sanson
Steer
Young
Nakamba
El Ghazi
Hause
Philogene-Bidace
Archer
Ramsey

If Traore and Bailey are fit enough to be included in the squad, then that's two from the above above dropping out, unless he decides he doesn't need both Hause and Tuanzebe in the squad. I can see Philogene-Bidace and Archer being the ones to make way, but then I'd have both in ahead of Davis. Going to have to be a few injuries or suspensions before he gets a look in I reckon.

As for Friday I reckon Smith will stick with the godawful 3-5-2 to start with to keep it tight, before going a bit looser at some point in the second half with a 4-3-3 and Bailey on.
If he does that I fear the outcome.
He needs to ditch the 3 at the back.

We've got to ditch the 532 for this one surely? Arsenal aren't great but if they can play through us then we've got problems.

An extra man in midfield would be wise.

Arsenal seem to have switched to a back 4 this season. If we line up with 5 at the back against them, that would be horribly negative. I watched the most of their game v Palace, Arsenal are lightweight and rubbish. Play a midfield three against them and we should dominate. Saka might be injured too.

I don’t think they are rubbish, they have some quick technical players and can open up teams that are static defensively.
I think they have weaknesses defensively and based on our last 2 performances I am not writing any team off.

Smith has hinted that Bailey and Traore will be in the squad but need to be checked i think they’ll both start on the bench. This team for me other than Watkins for Bailey, with Bailey coming on in the 2nd half.

2-1 Villa (Watkins, Ings)

Not Targett  I can't take his weak attacking displays like Neil Taylor tribute act
Or his own goals.

Targett is a decent player. Young is well past his prime.

Yes defensively MT improved but think he struggled recently
Hause for Mings.

I take a compromise  for Hause at left back if Young isn't given the game instead of Targett
I think  Matthew needs to sit this one out for a break

Not sure we'll get anything with the dreaded 5-3-2.
If we're positive from the off with an attacking formation then the win is there for us.
3-1 (Ings 2, Konsa)

How many own goals has he got out of interest?

No, he's not been as good as last season but Young in a back four is not the answer.

i like that Ads. Very strong attacking side and back to the 4 at the back that did so well last season. Don’t want to make a prediction, but that line up looks very handy.
