Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Targett
Sanson Luiz McGinn
Buendia Ings Bailey

Do not feck around.

That would do for me
Last season was a complete masterclass of offensive play
Worried that we are playing in the 3rd kit abomination and that might hinder us

Watkins instead of Bailey.

Bailey, Traore, Davies all back training! I can see 1 out of 3 starting, a different 1 out of 3 finishing and the other 1 out of 3 not making the squad.

Anyway, 2-2 or 1-3

They are unbeaten in 5, so it's not like they need a result!

One of the clubs we'll be overtaking this season.

The last time that happened Yorkie scored 23 goals in 48 apps and we won a trophy.

It sounds good, but then reality hits you.

I can't see Davis making the squad for the forseeable future. Smith is already going to have a couple of difficult decisions to make. These were the subs for Wolves:

Sanson
Steer
Young
Nakamba
El Ghazi
Hause
Philogene-Bidace
Archer
Ramsey

If Traore and Bailey are fit enough to be included in the squad, then that's two from the above above dropping out, unless he decides he doesn't need both Hause and Tuanzebe in the squad. I can see Philogene-Bidace and Archer being the ones to make way, but then I'd have both in ahead of Davis. Going to have to be a few injuries or suspensions before he gets a look in I reckon.

As for Friday I reckon Smith will stick with the godawful 3-5-2 to start with to keep it tight, before going a bit looser at some point in the second half with a 4-3-3 and Bailey on.

If he does that I fear the outcome.
He needs to ditch the 3 at the back.

We've got to ditch the 532 for this one surely? Arsenal aren't great but if they can play through us then we've got problems.

An extra man in midfield would be wise.

If he starts with Ings and Watkins I hope Archer would keep his place on the bench. Davies does not deserve a place.

It doesn't feel like all that long ago that when everyone was fit, the 11 picked itself, and the bench was simply making up the numbers and we all just hoped we didn't need to call on any of them.

Now we're looking at which promising or established player doesn't even get to make a bench with 7 players on it.  We've come a long way...

Emirates Stadium

8pm KO

Thanks Legion !!
My delight when I check in and see the pre match up!

So we are wearing our third kit first time the mens team wearing this season
I quite like the navy thing!
Now the football I hope we make a winning comeback and Watkins especially seems to like playing against these lot

Outside of 30 minutes vs Spurs to me Arsenal haven't overly impressed me this season.
Doing the double last season gives us some confidence knowing can beat them and hope that system is changed from 3 at the back in a nic victory

I'm hopeful if not expectant but if truth be told this could go anyway result wise way have been.
That said would hope Mings steps up for a heroic performance and recall Brentford causing chaos with long throws so perhaps Matty Cash (if not injured) can hurl them in and our players get on the end of it banging in the goals.
Not exactly pure Dean Smith philosophy but will take any sort of goal if results on victory.

Also let is remind them that Emi Martinez is the  best !

Up the Villa !
