We were quality today anyway, deserved the three points.

Can't think of any Martinez save in second half, 3-5-2 was quality today.

Wait until we put Bailey into the front 2 for selected games. This season is going to be more exciting than last imo.

I knew it, I just knew it today.  I have to learn to start trusting my considerable gut when it's being positive.  I always trust it when we're on for a tonking.  Well done the lot of ya!

I’ve seen hundreds of games over many years and have to concede that I know next to nothing about football.
Couldn’t see this happening.
Happy to be so wrong.

I'm off to Wolverhampton, where, I'm led to believe, someone is waiting for me. What a day.

Fucked the fucking fuckers despite that pitiful excuse of a referee doing his level best.

The penalty kick has just landed in Piccadilly Gardens.

From Twitter:
Aston Villa are the first team to keep a clean sheet against a Manchester United side including Cristiano Ronaldo since Barcelona in the 2009 Champions League final.

I am at a wake, which has led to some innapropiate behaviour when the goal went in and the pen was missed. Crediting my wife's grandmother with this miracle. What a great performance. This is going to be a much better team. Well done Smith as well, far better tactically now he has more options.

Twitter and RedCafe are in absolutely meltdown mode. #OleOut everywhere and its Matchday 6.

Jesus wept - they are a truly pathetic lot.

Magnificent performance from every player. We created the better chances and would have been a travesty if we had not won. Massive call out to the coaching staff to get the players working this new system so well and so soon. Not too sure what happened to Ramsey, looked like he would have needed a stretcher when he first went down.
