It's hard to accommodate Buendia and Bailey in the 3-5-2. That's my main issue with it.

Disagree. We can slot in Buendia as the attacking midfielder v likes of Burnley, Watford, Newcastle although may upset the balance of the central trio but Buendia can press and get on ball in final third.

Ideally you slot Bailey into 4-3-3 but he certainly has the feel of a player who can burst into forward areas so I think for some games him just off Watkins would frighten many defences to death with Ollie's workrate and pace of Bailey.

We changed players vrs Everton and remained, mainly, 3-5-2
Bailey replaced Targett, and, although different players it was still a straight swap position wise.
It can also be done on the right with Cash.

You could start with Targett and Cash, then finish with Bailey and Buendia.

I do think we have the players to be able to play different formation as and when it suits.

I can't see any game this season where we start Bailey as some sort of wing back. He certainly didn't sign to play half the game in our half.

We'll go back to 4-3-3 eventually I'm sure but this formation is working great currently so why change it especially in central midfield which we all viewed as a real problem area three weeks ago and suddenly we look very strong there against top half teams.

Meanwhile over at Talksport, our biggest fan Danny Murphy is wondering why Manure lost, rather than why Villa won... :D

He did say we'd spent the G***lish money very well indeed.

Despite it proving successful already, that piss off nettle licking idiot still can't accept it.

Well everyone thinks he’s being dense about this, even his fellow pundits.

Thanks for posting this, I enjoyed every second of it. In particular I loved watching the pot bellied, bearded bloke in the Manc shirt who gestured triumphantly over when the penalty was awarded. His misery was wonderful at the end, but he seemed weirdly reluctant to leave as if he had to complete some kind of penance and soak up every last moment of despair.

Yeah I spotted him too…as good a justification for middle aged men carrying timber not to wear a snug fitting football shirt as you will ever see!

I’m amazed he hasn’t quietly dropped it as it’s hilarious he’s increasingly obviously wrong, clearly as stubborn as he is misjudged.
