Steer

Tuanzebe
Konsa (c)
Hause
A Young

El Ghazi
Nakamba
Sanson
Buendia
Traore

Archer

Is what I'd go with. Or maybe start Watkins as he could do with a goal, bring Archer on when we've wrapped it up.

I'm getting quite bored of talking/thinking/reading about formations now, but that line-up looks like it'd fit beautifully into my favoured (and never-tried) 4-3-2-1, or indeed we could tweak to 4-3-1-2.

I've written them that way just to break up the reading for my fellow posters. There is no formation, though. I've told them just to run around lots and enjoy themselves.

Freed from the shackles of footballing convention, they will win twelve-nil.

Need to go for it I reckon so play our strongest team. They obviously have their priorities elsewhere and they looked vulnerable against us at times. Realistically with the Mancs/VAR away next this is the most winnable game for us.  A lot of PL teams still in it but only 4 games from a final after this.

I think, if Bailey’s leg is ok, this is an ideal match to get him up to speed in.

I can see us playing a slightly stronger team - I would have thought Buendia will get a run out too.

I’d go with Bailey, Archer, Buendia as a front 3 type formation

It’s a difficult decision for the manager because let’s face it we’ve got a chance of winning this cup with the squad and team we have now
Personally I’d play the best team we could as we won’t get anything out of Man United at the weekend because it’s Man United and we mostly never do

But managers don’t do that anymore and if they make it through a few rounds through more luck than judgement then take it seriously at the semi-final stage as we have done before

So he won’t play the first team (whatever that is) but I’m hoping for a strong team
We need to end this 25 year long wait it’s getting ridiculous now

I’d take a bottom half finish without relegation but winning the carabao cup over a top half finish without European football and not winning it
Can you imagine Dean Smith the first manager to win a major trophy at Villa for 25 years
Let’s do it Dean

This for me aswell, the Cups should be our number 1 priority this season.

I would go the same but swop Konsa out for Tuanzebe. He can't play against his parent club. It's not worth risking Konsa.
