Did he get a medal and shake-hands with all the big-wigs on the podium? Forgot to look out for him.

A Scotsman with a winners medal, now there's a rarity. I hope his father was still alive to see it, I recall he was very ill and McPhee last autumn stepped down from his Scottish role to spend more time taking care of his father.

Nice bit of praise from Morgan today for our set piece maestro.

On celebrating with the set-piece coach: “He bangs on at me to do it more. Sometimes I don't do it as well as I should. That one was for him. He does his homework on all free-kicks, especially attacking free-kicks – how high we have to get it, how much it has to come down. He’s really good at stuff like that. That one was for him.”

I’m pretty sure our corners have been quite successful the last two seasons.

Isn’t it the taker’s ability that produces the up and down travel of the ball? The ball is exactly 10 yards from the wall line in every scenario. The skill of the taker is the trick. Can it be coached? I suppose where you hit it on your foot and how you spread your body weight is all part of it so Mcphee must know the science behind it.

I was there on Sunday and without wishing to take anything away from Morgan, it was a generous 10 yards.
