I don’t really get the criticism. Ok he didn’t score and he didn’t play maybe to the levels he has but he did a lot of things well that went unnoticed. His movement is very good and the threat he poses keeps the other team very much aware of his presence which opens up space for others.

My uncle said the same thing. Miss aside, he thought his runs and movement off the ball were superb today.

I popped in the match thread at half time and was a bit surprised to see so many saying he should be hooked. I thought he was good other than the miskick. He was picking up great pockets of space as usual and generally used the ball well. He is class.

All of that said he wasn’t as influential as he has been lately but maybe that’s him fitting into the team pattern better now and allowing others to shine. He’s a lovely player though and I hope we sign him.
