Like with one or two of Sancho’s shirked challenges, I thought the optics were worse than the facts.

It did look bad though!

Seems to me Rowe had quite a lot to do after Bailey dangled his leg. Yes it wasn’t great, but Bailey wasn’t to blame for that goal and it feels like a bit of an excuse for a pile on.
Any half decent ‘engagement’ of Rowe at the start would have changed the whole trajectory of that move, and it may or may not have led to a goal.
Baileys inaction, for a professional footballer, is indefensible.

I’ll add, I really like Cash, he’s ace, but Rowe got the better of him all night and he’s a defender.

Listened to a preview of the game (I listen to them post-game so I can see if they know what they’re on about) and the Bologna fan on UTV podcast said Rowe is their best player and compared him to Ronaldinho.

All the Villa previews I listened to hardly mentioned him, or even speculated that he’d be playing!

Selling Bailey for anything like decent money will be very difficult same with Guessand
Loan deals with options to buy aren’t any good because they won’t be taken up, but does free up a bit of wages money for a short while but just kicks the can down the road

Palace fans seem to think that they're going to sign him regardless - they're definitely losing Mateta and Kamada, they're expecting to sell Nketiah and even Guessand has been better for them than Johnson and Pino have.

Looks like they'll have such a big rebuilding job up front that anyone who is there already they might as well hold onto.

Well that would be a proper result Dave
