With luck his only contribution will be kicking the ball around at half time.
I can’t recall a Villa player with such a drop off in form as Bailey.

How much does this guy earn? his cameo last game was shameful.

Props to Leon last night, looked lively, drove the ball forward when we needed to, best corner of the night for his assist and then carried well into the corner near the end.  A much more promising cameo.

The best bit was when he spoke and smiled.

Whilst not his greatest fan, I thought that he changed the game yesterday for us, forced their left side back when it was threatening to overrun our right side defensively. Looked lively and direct, decent corner for the goal and tackled back.

My son said to me last night, the difference between Bailey and Sancho is Leon tries to take risks, tries to beat his man, tries to drive to the byline and when it doesn’t come off, he falls over or gets tackled, he looks shite.
Something in this I think.
He’s bern poor for much of his time as a villa player, but in the months he’s been good, he’s got me off my seat more than most wingers I’ve seen down the villa.
He was decent last night and has been in every game bar Bournemouth since coming back.

He comes across really well. I was quite distracted by Kate. But the bits I paid attention to he seems to appreciate being back with us.

Edit: for all what I said above, he’s just not got it anymore. And “it” was great while he was in form. But he’s purely a desperation play now. Not good enough to be starting for us.

We'd be better off giving Baileys shirt to one of the kids from the half time prize where it lies.
He is garbage.

No physical strength or courage - not a good combo.

Showing exactly why we sent him out on loan at the start of the season. The fact he’s an upgrade on Guessand is credit to nobody.

Didn't bother tracking back when losing the ball (again) just before he came off. Must have seen Sancho ready to come on for him but that was really bad today.

I don’t think he is. Not saying Guessand is ace or anything but being played on the wing when he’s not a winger didn’t help.

Leon Bailey just looks done as a top tier footballer. It’s very sad to see given how we remember him in that one season where he was quite superb at times.
