I love him but think it's the right time for him to move on.

Yep always hard to judge, but to be fair after the season he had had I would have been annoyed if we sold him then.

Not really, I said this time last year that he was the best PSR sacrifice as he wasn't likely to keep his form up.

Correct. But there is always a sentimental attachment to be considered. Some fans/posters prioritize that over business sense.

I think he played quite well against Roma. Good news all round, hope it comes off.

I remember. Thought it was bold of you but fair play, absolutely got it right.

It's hardly sentimental to think there was logic in us keeping our second highest scorer after having already sold the 3rd and 4th highest as they wanted to leave. Hindsight says we should have but it's hardly some crazy thought to think keeping him wasn't a bad decision by the club at the time. Plus it would have needed someone willing to pay what we would have wanted which is far from guaranteed to have happened.

If he's off then its.... Bye Leon, thanks for a few good memories and a few big moments. Not enough though IMO over his time here.

This stuff is always a punt - he’d had a brilliant season, he might have backed it up or he might have dropped off. As it happens he dropped off and we would have maximised his value last year.
