You'd have to be an imbecile to think otherwise.

Well……

Think Sir John needs to play right mid for Bologna. If Bailey unfit from carrying a knock, he needs to be taken out of the team altogether. He was shockingly poor today.

Poor again today. Back to the old Bailey, I really hope he can get back to the player we saw last season.

This was one of my points - for bailey to be at those levels for 2 - 3 season elevates him to world class.

Expecting him to be as good as he was last season is a big, big ask.  Im sure his form will get better - but thats why have Diaby last season was so good as he started well the bailey found form as a Duran type super sub.

It’s a mystery with him as to how his form has dipped so much. Is it a confidence thing?

He's not even remotely competent at the moment, let alone being as good as last year. Literally nothing he does is going right. His first touch is abysmal, and he lost the ball 10 times yesterday, which considering he was only on the pitch an hour is some going. Of course he's a much better player than he's showing, but he shouldn't be starting games in this form.

Yeah, he's miles away, and there's clearly something not right. Needs to come out the firing line for a bit for his own good.

Not just bailey though. I think jadens been average when he has come on most games. Apart from bayern game he hasnt done much been much better either.

Jaden would have probably been banker starter next week as baileys been so bad but gets him self a avoidable 2nd yellow

Bailey's head seemed wrong yesterday , could not even control a simple ball or co-ordinate his feet . I'm surprised UE didn't hook him a lot sooner especially after the booking

Though they didn't show it, on Sky they were saying that Leon and Unai had a big chat and a hug when he came off.

Worth recalling that he started last season poorly too, and things only clicked following a pep chat with Unai after being brought off at Anfield, having himself come on as an early sub.

Time for Unai to earn his corn, then.

In the second half he came more in to the middle, he is feeling the pressure no doubt

He has gone back to how he was before Diaby (his mate) joined.
Diaby gave Bailey a whole new lease of life.

I don’t think it’s coincidental that Bailey has gone backwards since Diaby left.

Not sure about that. The games they played together towards the end of last season were usually not very good at all. Rogers is getting similar numbers to Diaby at the moment in terms of goals and assists, but is a lot more involved in all round play than Diaby ever was. Bailey's seeing lots of the ball, it's just that when he does he nearly always loses it. I can't really see why Diaby would make a difference to that.

I think there may be something in that. Diaby coming in might have taken the pressure off him. I think he'll be fine. All players go through lean spells. Not worried in the slightest.
