His attitude is first rate as well.

His attitude is first rate as well.

And yet people were accusing him of having an attitude problem last year. Many of the same people are now saying similar about Diaby, Duran and Zaniolo.

I'm not saying this to shit stir but rather that we seem to sometimes confuse frustration that things aren't going to plan with players wanting out, or not liking the manager or whatever else.

Craig Butler said he has renegotiated a “lovely contract” for Bailey, and the 26-year-old footballer is “good to go.” Butler further disclosed that the news of the new contract will be announced in the next few days

We will find out of this is true in the coming days, but if anyone deserves one right now it’s our Leon.

He's a joy to watch, though I must admit to always feeling a sense of relief when he comes off the pitch unscathed.

That’s great news if true.  Retaining and improving the players we already have will hopefully give us the wiggle room to make fewer but bigger signings.

I hope this is true, a new deal for him is the most important deal we needed to make this winter.

Maybe it's now the time for me to admit that I wrote him off early and have been reluctant to accept that he is finally making a valuable contribution to the team.
I would now like to apologise publicly for my rash leap-to-judgement on a player who is clearly now proving himself to be a bit good.
I have committed myself to 100 hail marys before breakfast and a damn good thrashing before bedtime.

Your most contritely ...

I really hope so, he’s been a joy this season, on the pitch he’s mesmerising to watch, very direct, can finish and assist. Off the pitch he seems a fantastic lad. His interviews crack me up. His accent as well, that I could listen to all day long.

A lovely contract huh? Never heard that adjective used to describe that noun.

One that says £150,000 a week on it might possibly be described as lovely by the recipient.

Delighted for him as he now looks like the player who looked so good against Everton back in the day. As we all know, some players take longer to settle than others and having a world class manger/coaching set up helps too. Diaby wont be far behind too. Exciting times!

He's been excellent this season and seems to have a great attitude starting from the bench so often.

You’re right. He’s had quite the turnaround in a few different ways.  Brilliant for him (and us!).

Someone put one of those compilation videos on Twitter of Eric Dier looking like he was running the show for Bayern.  Eric Dier! If nothing else, it shows me how much harder the Premier League is and why we've had to be patient with him.  See also Diaby.
