He drove me mad at times, but he could at least beat a player. Bailey doesn't provide any more defensive stability, either.

I absolutely fucking hate seeing him on the right, cutting inside repeatedly yesterday into a congested 8 man defence/midfield.

Play him on the left or leave him in his dad's shed.

He was obviously asked to stay wide second half yesterday to stretch them a bit but because he was on the right, he was still inclined to cut inside where there was severe congestion. If he'd been wide left, he could have stayed out there, tried to hit the byline and be in a position to stick the ball in with his stronger foot.

Gerrard got rid of all our wingers and Emery likes to play with them. Bailey is all he has so that explains why he plays him and keeps him on the pitch most probably. But it's strange that he's not trying him on the other side.

I watched Bailey closely last night and the one thing I'd say is that he kept trying for the whole game, he was constantly moving, making runs and looking for the ball.  He's hoplessly out of form, seems to have lost his pace and has forgotten how to beat a man, but I respect him for the effort he put in and not hiding.  And despite his shortcomings he still looked like our most likely candidate to create something.

Ings on the the hand, who is a player I've had a lot of time for, just stood still for most of the second half, so whenever the ball found him he was just crowded out and pretty much either lost it immediately or had no option to lay it off backwards.  It looked like he had given up making runs, probably because he had no confidence anyone would find him.

As poor as he was yesterday he was getting no support from the midfield or Cash who was sitting back due to Stevenage finding giant sized holes in our right side of defence. Second half Sanson started to link up well with Bailey, Cash pushed on and for once it looked like could do some damage down the right. As soon as Sanson was subbed the threat from Bailey disappeared.

I've said it before but he does try to do too much. He over complicates, trying to go past too many players, it's very playground. Somebody needs to have a serious word in his ear and tell him to simplify his game. Football's a team game and he needs to start relying on his teammates rather than trying every time beat every opposition player to score goal of the season. Tap-ins count just the same.

Doesn't seem to be pulling up many trees in Turkey based on his stats (not sure if trees grow in Turkey but). Bert wasn't good enough either, plenty of ability for sure but not the application or mentality to be a top player. Bailey definitely shy on those two counts aswell currently. No self belief.

Trees cover 23 million of Turkey's 78 million hectares. In comparison, the UK has 3.23 million hectares of woodland, so I'd say yes they do.
