We do seem to have tightened up at the back, but at the expense of their often being gaping chasms between our midfield and strikers.

If you look at the "heat maps" for yesterday, that doesn't seem to be the case and doesn't chime with the match I watched. Both McGinn and Ramsey spend the majority of the time in an advanced position on the left and right of midfield. Bailey's problem is he pisses about, doing a couple of tricks but failing to beat the man, by which time the opposition have marked him and any possible receivers of the ball out of the game.

Whatís with his constant going backwards with the ball?  Try and beat your opponent in a forward direction is what he should be doing.

God knows. I honestly can't recall the last time I saw him beat a defender.

He seems to allways receive the ball on the half turn towards our goal. Part of the problem is his initial run is not being played in.

Awful yesterday. Passes when he should dribble and dribbles /sorry, attempts to dribble) when he should pass, often losing possession.

I've never been totally convinced with Bailey. What's happened to the blistering pace that he is supposed to possess? I have yet to see him in a foot race against a defender since he came back from injury. Maybe that is the reason why?

I would give him a run up top and just tell him to play on the shoulder. He's a really crap winger 90% of the time, but can finish quite well.

You just know he'll continue to be anonymous when playing for us, then end up leaving and absolutely flourishing elsewhere.

He can strike the ball well and has some pace but as a footballer he doesnít seem cut out for this league. I thought he was going to be a brilliant winger but like Ads says on the wing he is pretty crap.

Has he said something about the entire team being set up so his son doesn't look completely shit every time he plays, again?

To be fiar without seeing exactly what he said I agree with him on this. Right now how we're playing makes it utterly pointless having Bailey in the team because he very rarely gets the ball with a bit of space and/or with just 1 man to beat to create an opening. He regualrly gets tackled by the 2nd defender because teams know they can double or triple up on him.

However we set up Bailey will still have to show some determination to hold on to the ball and not cower away every time someone gets physical with him.
