Leon’s Father/Agent,
Quote
“Currently the system at Aston Villa is not using wingers, which puts Leon in a difficult position & threatens to derail his personal goals & objectives.

At this time no one would be happy not being able to contribute significantly to their club’s victories, but more so when the club is not winning. So while this is my opinion & I have love & respect for such a historically great club as Villa, I’m not happy a fit & high-performing Leon is being sidelined. If things aren’t going to drastically change, Ajax could be an option.

Aston Villa has some work to do, but we moved to the club for a reason & we haven’t given up on the club yet, but things have to change.

A player that wins Belgian player of the year, makes European team of the year, wins goal of the season, & Bundesliga new player of the season is now on the bench in England? I don't think so..”

Yikes..
Not a happy camper.

Ajax are chasing Bailey and may catch him
They can offer the money for what we paid after they have sold Antony. We may be seeing Bailey leave which is discouraging.
Bailey's agent and dad comments are telling as he looks to engineer a way out for LB.

I'd be pretty upset if he left, but I can't blame him. Management here does not have a clue where we're going or how we get there.. and Ajax is a well-oiled machine. They allow Antony to fly up and down the flank in their 4-3-3 and Leon will surely flourish there.

If he goes, someone should be held responsible for poor recruitment. To bring in an out and out winger and not play with wings is malpractice.

This is what happens when the idea of continuity is thrown out.
.

Continuity went out the window when Jack Grealish left. We signed Danny Ings straight away and Deano tried and failed to fit him in. We have been rudderless ever since (not Ings fault). Bringing in Coutinho when we were already struggling to accommodate Buendia was more of the same.

Unfortunately when we sack Gerrard his replacement is going to want even more control in the name of avoiding a relegation battle. The cycle starts again.

It shouldn't have though. There's been poor management since Grealish left.

We all said watching that bloody absurd press conference when he signed in his *dads* basement that he was a loon and would cause issues.

As much as the circus is a completely wrong - I would be sad to seem him go

Otherwise, were ruling out any successor who might play wingers.

This was one of the big issues I mentioned with SG - is we have sidelined good players for a system that doesnt work in this league for a mid tabled side

If Sancho and Bailey are anything to go by, the German league must be an absolute piece of piss.

A fair few more examples too Risso. Haaland might be the exception, but he is a freak.

He did all right yesterday but hardly put forward an unarguable case for why he should start.

The team isn't really set up though to enable him to shine, as the passing and movement is engineered to get the full backs into the advanced position, meaning he isn't in a place wide to exploit and cut in.

I dont mind our full backs bombing on, but they're an auxiliary attacker. It's different when it's death by territory and pass with Man City.

Agree, his Dad should concentrate on Infowars. That’s the same guy, right?

You could see what an utter ****** his dad was when he signed. I just hoped he’d have been such a success that it wouldn’t have reared it’s head, well until 2 or 3 years on when big money was being offered by a CL club anyway.

His dad hasn't said anything there that I don't think myself. If I were Bailey I'd be looking to move asap. What's the point wasting the prime years of your career at a club where the management have no clue how and no intention to use you?
