Bailey needs to tell his dad to wind his neck in.  Has he forgotten the bloke spent most of last season in the treatment room?  Now he wants him to join a new club if they don’t play to his system.  Fack off is what I would say.
He is only stating the bleedin obvious

Which he can do if he wants... just 'in-house'.

The problem is when this stuff is out there it is reflective of problems in house. Gerrard is on borrowed time. I know people say it’s only 3 games but it’s not 3 games. It’s the guts of a year where we have seen little to suggest that we are on the right path. And rumours of Craig Dawson do little to allay that

Craig Dawson from West Ham? He's their best defender (or so a Hammer at work tells me). Much better than that flailer at Southampton.

Dawson is a CB who has been a mainstay in a side that has finished in the top 6 or 7 in the last couple of seasons. I don’t see any problems being linked with him and id be happy enough if we signed him.

Oh I'm no Gerrard fan John, I just think this particular issue is more to do with the character of his dad. I reckon he would have been like this with any manager who didn't play him at any club. Definitely been poor since the turn of the year. Dawson? Meh, it's just back up, no one coming in as back up is going to be a world beater.

Inagree that Bailys father should not be doing this but maybe thingsbarenrocky enough at the Villa that he feels he can getbaway with it. Also is he doing this by proxy for his son? Which only adds to the possibility of all not beingbweel in the court of Gerrard

Obviously this isnt going away. I see Dad/Agent is stirring it up again. We will probably sell him for 10 million by the end of the week!

Ajax are chasing Bailey and may catch him
They can offer the money for what we paid after they have sold Antony. We may be seeing Bailey leave which is discouraging.
Bailey's agent and dad comments are telling as he looks to engineer a way out for LB.

Gerrard seems to be sabotaging his potential successor. Get rid of him now before he sells every winger at the club.

I'd rather keep him if at all possible as he could well come good under whoever takes over from Gerrard, but if they're willing to pay what we paid for him then it could be a reasonable deal for all involved.

I'd be pretty upset if he left, but I can't blame him. Management here does not have a clue where we're going or how we get there.. and Ajax is a well-oiled machine. They allow Antony to fly up and down the flank in their 4-3-3 and Leon will surely flourish there.

If he goes, someone should be held responsible for poor recruitment. To bring in an out and out winger and not play with wings is malpractice.

This is what happens when the idea of continuity is thrown out.

Continuity went out the window when Jack Grealish left. We signed Danny Ings straight away and Deano tried and failed to fit him in. We have been rudderless ever since (not Ings fault). Bringing in Coutinho when we were already struggling to accommodate Buendia was more of the same.

Unfortunately when we sack Gerrard his replacement is going to want even more control in the name of avoiding a relegation battle. The cycle starts again.

Leon’s Father/Agent,
Quote
“Currently the system at Aston Villa is not using wingers, which puts Leon in a difficult position & threatens to derail his personal goals & objectives.

At this time no one would be happy not being able to contribute significantly to their club’s victories, but more so when the club is not winning. So while this is my opinion & I have love & respect for such a historically great club as Villa, I’m not happy a fit & high-performing Leon is being sidelined. If things aren’t going to drastically change, Ajax could be an option.

Aston Villa has some work to do, but we moved to the club for a reason & we haven’t given up on the club yet, but things have to change.

A player that wins Belgian player of the year, makes European team of the year, wins goal of the season, & Bundesliga new player of the season is now on the bench in England? I don't think so..”

Yikes..
