If you can't beat your man, you do everything to keep the ball. He did neither yesterday, and I still can't believe he wasn't hooked for Buendia.

He's not up to it - got to be honest.  No room for passengers in the premiership sorry.

Obviously needs a full pre season under his belt but on all evidence so far I’m not sure how, where or when he would fit into a Gerrard team.

Not a natural fit in Gerrard’s 4321 but I think he could be handy as one of the two strikers in the 4312 variety.  Basically being a pain in the arse on either wing and off the shoulder of the CBs.

I think Buendia is one of our best players and we can’t seem to play him in the starting eleven. I hope when Nekamba is back that may change.

Buendia's problem for me is that for every 10-15 minute spell in a game where he's fantastic, it usually follows that he gets a bit over excited and starts giving the ball away needlessly for another 10 mins.

His other problem is that for all his nice touches and skill, he doesn't affect the game as much as he should. He's a much better all round player than El Ghazi or Traore, but those two got 17 goals between them last year, with another 6 from Grealish. So far this year Buendia and Bailey have got 3 between them.

Has his step-dad kicked-off yet about Bailey's lack of opportunities on his cut-price version of The Footballer's Football Show?

How many games have you been too this season?  Buendia may have had a decent 90 mins in total in all the games he has played - sorry that's estimating it

Bit harsh, he had a very slow start but had a strong spell over xmas. Set up the Ings goal at Brentford, was excellent in the two Man. United games and winner at Everton. Been hit and miss since however and worth noting he was just a sub in our three wins.

I haven’t been to any, but I’ve watched most matches up until the last three. Does that not count? Obviously not in you’re eyes.

I like him, I like the way he plays and in my opinion he’s a very good player and it’s a shame we can’t fit him in the starting line up.

We had our pants pulled down signing Bailey for the fee we paid considering Luis Díaz was only £37m, same with Buendia who is just an extremely expensive version of Jota.

None of the players we spent the Grealish money on will be consistent match changers for us - they'll have an effect in 3 matches out of 10 and that's the show.

I've been to every home game and for me Buendia has been one of our few bright sparks this season.  He started a bit slowly but was our best player for a good few weeks before becoing victim of the formation change.

You mean like Cash and McGuinn?
Transfers are a lottery if you change your manager or have a DoF that’s not bought into the managers plan.  I’m expecting different this summer with recruitment closely tied to what Garrard wants to do

He's still got a good hit on him, his shot in the first half from outside the box was encouraging.
