Will be like a new signing in January.  Sigh.

Which January do we think he will be fit by? 2023 or 2024

Premier league comparison

24 year old Leon Bailey 3 sub appearances
minutes played 84 Goals Scored 1 Assists 2

Man Citys 26 year old Jack Grealish 5 appearances
minutes played 434 Goals Scored 1 Assists 1

Bailey already showing he's a better player as a wide forward. Imagine when he actually starts a game.

N the way to the game I predicted his injury in the exact circumstances it happened. On and off in short time out for a month. Ironic that it was trying to get to a bad ball from Ramsay when we were in full flow and giving it maximum effort. A little later with the game petering out and I doubt it would have happened.

Will we get 90 mins (in total) out of him by Christmas?

Maybe a bit more but assuming he's back on October 24th, he will fly off again around the 7th of November for two international games. If he has to quarantine expect him back at BH around the 28th of November.

We’ll be lucky to have him playing a full 90 minutes before December then. What was his injury record like at Leverkusen?

Played 40 odd games last season in league and europe. 30 + the season before and they only played 34 games in Bundesliga.

Just shows how crucial a pre season is for players.

From Dean's comments, out until "after the international break" I'm not sure Bailey will be flying out to join the Jamaica squad next week. Maybe/hopefully we're keeping him here to fully recover.

If we continue with the 3-5-2, a fully fit Leon Bailey, playing a free role off Watkins/Ings, could be lethal.

Still no news if he is back weekend. I would imagine its unlikely he is back annoyingly.

I think Ashley Preece expects him to feature in some capacity

I hope we don't but if we stick with the 3 at the back I'd prefer us to really go for it and pick him instead of Targett from the start, I'd be doing everything I can to keep the midfield as the Dm and 2CM that has seen Luiz, McGinn, Ramsey and Sanson all look like they can be big players for us in a push for the top 8, by putting a 10 in there you create the same balance issues as we've had in the 4231 that just doesn't look right.

We don't usually hear anything until Smithy's press conference anyway.
