The transformation in Bailey from the idea of him being a bit of a fair weather, inconsistent winger into an absolute warrior and leader in this team is maybe the most astonishing and impressive development in any player this season - which is saying something given how much Unai has improved the whole squad.

I wouldn't trade him for anyone now, the quality and leadership he has shown particularly in the last few months, clearly playing through the pain barrier, has been incredible. Rarely do you think a player of his type would play that kind of role in a team, but I'm amazed by how he's stepped up.
Would have had another brilliant assist last night too were it not for our miss of the season! What a player.

Says it all for me.

Agreed- great post. He’s a legend

Yeah, he's probably my favourite player in what is a very likeable Villa squad.

Yep, fantastic summary, couldn’t agree more.

Im with you on that... Couple of my Liverpool supporting mates were praising him as our best player the other night too, so he's getting noticed elsewhere too. (Not in a signing sort of way, just recognition of his brilliance.)

A very special friend of ours joined us on our labour day project yesterday! Special thanks to
@AVFCOfficial  footballer  @leonbailey  and his team for helping to beautify Jamaica's public psychiatric hospital, and also making a contribution of $500,000 toward the institution.

Fuckin' he'll! Fair play...his Dad clearly negotiated a nice contract renewal. Well done Leon.

Yeah, my missus owns a piece of land worth millions of Jamaican dollars. We were very excited until we checked the exchange rate.

I bought her auntie a hat over there for her birthday. I asked her ‘who else would spend 16,000 dollars on you for your birthday!’.

I think it was about £46.

Fair play though to Leon for spreading cheer and for being a Villan.

He's really stepped up as a leader, hasn't he? Remarkable turnaround from him.

Has there been any news on his injury? I Didn't see the game, but thought I'd read he'd "done" his hamstring, whatever that means ?

I saw it was his hamstring, but haven’t seen any indication of severity or time out.

He overstretched trying to cut out a pass but walked off ok just looking a bit pissed off. I think he stayed in the dugout for the rest of the game as well so it didn't seem like they were too worried about it.

I'd guess there's a fair chance he's fit for Everton.
