For the money we spent on Bailey he should be producing far in excess of what he is. AEG for the money just provided a lot more value even if he wasn't as talented a player.

Bailey to be rotated tomorrow?
He got a knock and was way off it last week.
Best for the bench and Buendía given the start against Palace.

Judging by the pictures in The S*n he made up for it Saturday night.

As if we needed any more proof.

He'll be gone on the summer, no doubt at a loss.

Almost certainly...but it's very disappointing. This isn't a Ross Barkley type player who has come through a PL academy type setup and had everything handed to them on a plate. Bailey has had to graft to even get to Leverkusen and onto Villa in the PL. Such a disappointment.

He’s totally gone in the summer now.

I actually think the bigger disappointment isn’t doing it, it is being stupid enough to share pictures of him doing it.

What a dick head.

He’s a twat for doing what he’s done and like Paulie says a bigger twat for filming and posting it. The reality is, if he was a really important player, he might get a wrap on the knuckles, like the numerous Grealish incidents, but Bailey for the most part, just hasn’t been very good.
Agree he’ll be gone in the summer and wouldn’t be totally shocked if he’s out of the squad for the Palace game.

Tried to pull a Grealish stunt with 10% of the talent.

In all seriousness what he's doing off the pitch doesn't matter too much to me (with obvious caveats) but he has been shit on it most of the time, that's why he should be dropped and not this. He doesn't work hard enough and he doesn't 'work' in Emery's system either.

Ah well. He's been mostly disappointing tbh.

But what he does off it will no doubt impact his performance on it.

This is stupidity, he should know better. I'd like to cut him some slack but the truth is he hasn't done enough on or off the pitch to earn that.

When Purslow said Buendia, Ings and Bailey were signed to replace Grealish’s attributes, I didn’t think he’d be this thorough.

What a twat. Where’s his old man at the moment, rather quiet isn’t he?

I’m actually quite disappointed as he looked so exciting before we signed him and then his cameo against Everton made him look like singing if the season. We’ve even had the odd glimpse here and there hoping he’s push on but there’s something not right with him. Probably best for all parties that he moved on.

Hopefully Duran will be given more of a chance now.

Haha, indeed.

It's made to think that within couple of years, the Purslow master 'moneybag' plan will have unravelled

I'm going to go against my decades old inclination to be a misery arse and say that I do actually feel a tiny bit sorry for him. He's worked hard to get where he has, and had a great career in Germany. He had a massively positive write up when he arrived as being one of the best in Europe, but he just hasn't backed that up. He probably realises that he's not good enough or maybe to put it more more kindly isn't cut out for the Premier League, and he doesn't know how to handle it.
