As an aside just been down the club shop, the big Dean/Grealish sign still up on north stand, but girl behind counter said it’ll be coming down soon. Poor kids behind counter looked harassed, lots of parents returning their kids villa tops with Grealish on the back.

Tricky at such short notice. Can't really get an overseas team, lower divisions kick off tomorrow. Chelsea are available, or Leeds if their friendly with Villareal gets called off.

Could try arranging a select Xl, players who for one reason or another wont get a run out this weekend. Messi (free agent), Kane (on strike), Ratboy (18th in pecking order), Ross Barkley (42nd in pecking order)......

I remember under BFR and Mon, Villa used to play pre-season friendlies over here in Ireland.  I think it was in 2013 when they last came over to play Shamrock Rovers.  It's time they started coming over again.

They played Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, I was at both. Brilliant days even if the Shamrock ground was a bit of a jaunt.
