Probably a glitch somewhere, hope they sort it out for you. One thing worth trying, if you're looking in mobile view try it in desktop. I found I couldn't get the mobile site to work properly when I bought my season ticket.

Do they always do this? My lad wants to drag 10 mates along from Cheltenhamshire. He’s got 6 tickets using our ID’s but seems mad not to sell tickets when it looks like there’ll be thousands of empty seats.

I dont understand it. Its a friendly and there is looking like 10k tickets still. They must have thought this was going to be a sellout.

Took me 40 minutes to get my kids two tickets sat with me, setting up accounts and linking IDs, it wasn’t fucking easy!!!

I would imagine they've clamped down on non ids cos of covid

Maybe. I think they also want individual IDs so they have a record of who has attended games and can send them promotional info/ticket news for future matches.

What about letting non season ticket holders have  first go, they would bring kids along and that's when you get them hooked on Villa for life, from a commercial point it would be a good idea

I'm trying to buy 3 tickets for my brother-in-law, nephew and myself. The website's not having it and telling me to assign tickets to other people, but the relatives don't have fan IDs. Why would you only allocate one ticket per person?! Is the concept of going to a match with other people alien to them?!
