To be fair to him it’s not like he’s a record signing, a striker fighting for one position and had missed 18 months and therefore vital that he of all people gets as many minutes as possible.

And to build his case gets himself sent off in a meaningless  game meaning a ban for the season.

I once copped a 3 month ban for nutting someone in a pre-season friendly, he'd punched me in the back of the head unprovoked to justify it.

Not a good idea all said.

Need a new striker. That was evident last season. Luckily Ollie stayed fit for that campaign. Get Tammy in!

We need to relax and get the other players we are missing back in the side. Then go get another forward/wide player and a defensive central midfielder.

Pre season is about building fitness. That is all. Chill.

Well it isn't is it, its about gelling as a team, trying new things, looking at other players in different positions, as well as fitness. Wes getting a stupid red, is bloody stupid

Thought more concerning that the red was the fact he looked like he could hardly run and went down injured in the short period he was on the pitch. Davis looked a lot livelier. Next couple of weeks will be interesting in terms of who comes in.

Neither Wesley nor Davis are adequate back up for Watkins

Made all the more difficult for them by just how good Ollie is.

Not bothered about today, more important to be 'on it' closer to the season start. In any case I always get a bit worried when our pre-season goes too well.
