This is pathetic looking at the wall of limitations they've put in front of clubs who want to break the monopoly.

Operating expenses increasing by £73m is very strange. Shenanigans?

Are these expenses that can be written off, like academy investments etc?

If so, we might be looking to splurge on Opex rather than paying players directly. Michelin star food rather than standard canteen fare, luxury toilet rolls etc.

Adidas getting a return on their manufacturing and Betano on their sponsorship with those massive kit/merch increases, absolutely massive in % term compared to anyone else.

But from a very low base when you look at the other EPL merchandising numbers. Chelsea at £95m, Jawdies at £40m ... we need to really wind up the commercial activities across the board if we stand any hope of competing year after year.

I haven’t watched it yet but is there a summary? Are we fucked or we free to lash out £200M on Mbappe?

If I was to summarise I’d say we’re fine on PL PSR, up against it on UEFA SCR. Which is mainly what we’ve suspected for a while, specifically since we sold the women’s team, which is admissible for the former but not the latter.

And Premier League are adopting the Uefa model.

But at 85% so pretty irrelevant to anyone who is in Europe or aiming to get there.
