For those so inclined - if we were to qualify for the Champions League, is there a point where we think we might not be so constrained as we have been?

I read one of the money people saying if we got it CL this year it woudl end our struggles.   I tried to find it but couldnt (internets not great when you dont know who said what and when).

I think realsitically if we were to get CL this season and next (3 out of 4) and 6 years european football then that would elevate us - along with the other things we are doing.

Consecutive Champions League qualification is critical to entrenching our position - boosts our coffers, obviously, but also starves our rivals.

Hopefully, by qualifying relatively early this year, we should have more momentum with which to achieve that next year.

Doesn't really starve them if that money league is anything to go by.  Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United were all not in it last season, yet were comfortably above us in terms of revenue.  Just think how much further ahead they will be if they were in the competition and we're not.

Because we choose to operate at the very limit of the rules, we’ll probably always be at the very limit of the rules. The owners have very little interest in making immediate profit. Whatever revenue they can generate, they’ll spend. If we generate more revenue, we’ll still live at the edge of SCR; we’ll just have more expensive players.

Is there any talk of a country potentially having 6 teams in the CL?
