Apparently The Press had pictures of him leaving VP on crutches, hope it's not too serious.

Is this a ‘why didn’t Barry take the pen’ type post?

If not, yes, I think most of us saw the pictures, but since then we’ve been told that he could be back on Thursday.

It's always shocking to see one of our players without matching footwear.

That was a loaded injury.

That then implies it isn’t a serious injury which is very good news.

Should've been split three ways.

It's great to see him back in the squad rather than sitting at home alone.

I'm happier with him around the side, especially as an impact player.  His energy and aggression late in the game can really swing the match.  He's done well to get back into regular contention, probably due to the lack of minutes for Harvey Elliot.  Anyone mention Balon d'Or and that's not at all what I'm saying.  As they say in Yank Ball "Special teams, special players".  They might not play for the whole match but they are there to swing the moments.

Never, ever stopped running. A brilliant free kick much like the one he scored vs Roma in pre season. Just a superb attitude. He’s completely proven to everyone he deserves to be a part of this team and squad.

The impudence of that free-kick. Ronaldo and Bale hit it like that, very rarely comes off. Thrilled that his Lazarus comeback shows no sign of abating. Player of the Season come next May? Why the frig not...

Set the tone for us today, he's spiky and we need that. Outstanding free kick. Three crackers he has scored for us this season.

Its an incredible renaissance. Part me keeps thinking if little Emi is the answer then we’ve taken a step back, but he’s just been bloody brilliant, he was harassing the Bournemouth back line non stop in that first half. The little fella has heart.

I struggle to think of a player more out of the door making his way back, and being so good. Fair play Emi.
