Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Emery revealed Buendía would not be available for the Premier League trip to Anfield, but will hopefully be able to return sooner rather than later.

“He is not available for tomorrow, but the injury he has is going well,” he said.

“I think with a few days more, he can be fit and available for the next matches, hopefully.”

If not, yes, I think most of us saw the pictures, but since then we’ve been told that he could be back on Thursday.
