Yes, a walking and running Buendia is not the same as a walking, running, Terrier like Buendia.  If he makes a miraculous recovery after 6 months it will be a bonus.  That sort of thing doesn't happen at Villa.  If anything, it will be longer than Emery is suggesting.

That's a lot clearer and leans towards a grade 2 tear but it's still a big range.

It's a big blow for the squad, as we'll need & use the whole squad over the next few months. He would have played a big part over the season.

He'll need replacing, as that link between midfield & attack is crucial.
