He's still finding his way. He was Norwich's Jack Grealish and now at a new club we need to find out how to use him best. That might take a few games. We have a superb footballer at the club who has done it in the PL when Norwich were last up. Throw in fitness issues too he's just got a bit to go before we see his true ability come through.

Not trying to find something where there is nothing, but is Buendia slow? Feel like he gets beaten for pace all the time, but I realize I may let my momentary frustration influence my general opinion. Anyone else feel there is something to my concern or am I just overreacting?
he is not lightening quick and tends to turn back when pressed to create space for himself. He was excellent today.

Sorry I totally disagree, he is either not fully fit yet or still carrying an injury but he was anonymous today!

Tosh …I thought he had a good game that improved as it went on, he will be very good. He’s not Jack Grealish but still a fine player

FFS he's played 2 games.

His stats from his last Premier League season were brilliant and in a team that were relegated. He'll be fine.

FFS stop having an opinion on how you think he is currently playing because I will misconstrue it as you all writing him off whereas in fact you are just stating concerns whilst also likely understanding that he will most probably get better but currently think that he needs to improve on a few things. Geez people, come on.

I happen to think people stating issues are largely right (although understand this can be debated) whilst also being confident that he'll find his way. It would be rare to have his stats and end up being shite.

Personally I thought he was very slow and had a poor game. But each to their own.

he'll improve when he's fully fit - still looks a bit off the pace, but it's all a big change for him.

FFS, as an example, try reading Risso's last post before mine. Tell me how I've misconstrued that. When you then add on various posts after his first game you'd think he had no redeeming features.

Like the team it took him 20-30 mins to get going. Then he tired after 60 mins.  There's much more to come from him once fit.

I thought he showed some very neat touches, he's clearly very comfortable on the ball. Agree that he looked tired quite early in the second half. We will need to find a way for him to have more of an impact on matches. Do we think the plan is to play him as a 10 when Bailey and Bert are fit?

I thought he was quite poor yesterday. Got a very nice first touch and plays with his head up, but didn’t make a massive contribution and looked slow and unfit.

One thing I noticed was he was looking for the clever ball in down the left channel a couple of times and wasn’t helped by AEG’s total lack of movement off the ball. When Bailey is fit it might make him more effective.

I would say that he is best as a 10. Get Leon and Bert down the wings for a bit of pace an let EMI have a free role.

I'd agree with that - Doesn't seem to have that extra yard of pace required for a winger at this level. Few balls threaded through towards the right corner flag which looked easy to make, yet he got beaten to it by the Newcastle defender almost every time.

I'd stick him behind a front two of Ollie and Ings where he can be more productive, pulling the strings.

FFS, you said that you hadn't even watched the game! As Paul said, I'm not writing him off, but the evidence on the first two games hasn't been very positive. I hope he'll come good.

Some players start well and then fade out (Ross Barkley), others take a few games to settle.  He'll be fine, just need to find the right position for him to get on the ball more. He does look a little sluggish, but it's early days

I'm also not writing him off but based on what I've seen in two games so far there's more than a hint of Jota and Carles Gil about him.
