Good signing.
But why did we not get him for £1m 3 years ago?

Because we were still a bit of a joke.

because we used that money to buy McGinn.

I see the experts are oot in force ageen, wor let me tell ya. I didnae go for Buendia because I truly believed that once Henri got fit, he could be that player for us.

Then I got sacked.

The arrival of NSWE and us pulling our shit together on and off the pitch has co-incided with quite a level of 'hatred' from some random clubs. I fucking love it.

Wolves, Brizzle, Naawich.  We're shite club kryptonite.

Long may it continue.  But I'll be even happier when the likes of Yanited and the Redscouse hate us again.

Well we've absolutely traumatised Arsenal in the last 12 months, on and off the pitch, so we're getting there.

To be fair to the Norwich fans you can see their point with the "wtf has he gone to villa" stuff. They haven't been paying attention to us. Why would they? All they see is a club that got relegated, came back up, barely survived, and finished mid-table. You would look at Arsenal as the bigger pull unless you're aware of the nuances both Villa and Arsenal fans are aware of . i.e. that we're on the way up, and Arsenal are at best stagnating, and at worse out of the game.

... the journalist Miguel Delaney apparently thinks Jack to Citeh is happening...

David Maddox seems to be well connected when it comes to the Scouse clubs. Oliver Kay seems to have decent contacts at the Manc lot. Despite Newcastle managers largely hating him Simon Bird knows what goes on up there...usually quicker than the managers do.  And John Percy obviously has the inside track at VP.

Can't say I've ever followed his musings closely but Miguel Delaney strikes me more as a blog writer. No great insight or contacts. Just self indulgent twaddle about the top 4.

I do recall him @ing the writers of Father Ted when he started a 'Look at me!' twitter thread about how Father Ted was rubbish after the second series. That went well.

I'm suspicious of anyone with a name that is clearly from a regenerated player on Championship Manager.

Because we were still a bit of a joke.
very true - imagine if we'd have picked up Kante and Mahrez for the combined £3.57 Leicester paid for them. Hopefully we've learned a few lessons over the years.

Kante was £5.5m. Still an absolute bargain, which means they got Kante, Mahrez and Vardy for c. £7m, or just over half a Ross McCormack.

I wonder if Bielsa would love to have our two Argentinians at Leeds.

From The Athletic article, it seems his passionate character comes out in his football and that he needs to be loved. Norwich should be happy, we're giving them the equivalent of a relegation parachute payment. As with Brentford, we are funding their future.

I have a feeling that if he can prevent himself getting sent off too many times, he'll be good for us.

And both Norwich & Arsenal fans seem to think we are going down next season, maybe what nearly happened 2 season ago, and they thought we all overachieved this year. Pardon? They don't seem to think Leeds didn't overachieve. It's a funny old game isn't it. 😃🤣

Konsa £2.5m, McGinn £2.75m. Not too shabby, those cheap investments.
